Kareem Gobran
Tennis Director
Kareem Gobran attended Saddlebrook Academy to train with the best juniors in the world at age 12. He was truly inspired by the best juniors and professional players in the world that trained at the academy: Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish, Michael Russell, Jennifer Capriati and Pete Sampras were some of the athletes that you saw daily who really inspired him to be the best player that he can be. Their effect on his tennis IQ at the time was priceless.
JD Owens
Senior Coach
John-Douglas Owens is originally from Adelaide, Australia, where he was ranked Top 5 in the state and top 20 in the country throughout his early career. He received a tennis scholarship to Hope International University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management/Sport Management and played #1 singles and doubles all four years.
Lucas Leseour
Head Coach
Lucas Lesoeur is originally from Paris, France, where he grew up playing high-level junior tennis. Lucas was trained by the French Federation of Tennis and was ranked as a top junior in his age group. He won the U14 Nike Junior Tour at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in 2010.
Scott VanSon
Head Coach
Scott VanSon was born in Newport Beach and raised in Southern California most of his life. While playing college tennis locally in 1990, Scott began his coaching career here in Newport Beach at the Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club with the Sam Olson Tennis Academy, and later at the Sunny Hills Racquet Club.
